A multi-year project has been launched at the Johnsonville Branch of the Florence County Library System in order to create the “Altman Genealogy and Local History Center.”
This multi-year grant funds the establishment of a community genealogy and local history center at the Johnsonville Library, as well as the digitization of photos and manuscripts from the local citizens of Johnsonville and the surrounding areas.
The grant also funded the purchase of a large flat bed scanner to digitize the materials and a server to house the online collection.
