Florence Library presents Community Leadership Profiles for Black History Month

The Doctors Bruce and Lee Foundation Library will present local community leadership profiles during this year’s Black History Month. These virtual programs will be presented on the Library’s website and Facebook page and will spotlight three prominent community leaders.

Dr. John A Keith III was born and raised in Pamplico, S.C. and earned his B.S. in Chemistry from Howard University. He went on to earn his medical degree from Howard University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in 1999 from Duke University Medical Center and from there came back home to practice pediatric medicine at Eastern Carolina Pediatric Associates. Dr. Keith is very active in the community and serves on several boards and committees. One of his major passions is the revitalization of downtown Florence.
