Florence Library presents Community Leadership Profiles for Black History Month



The Doctors Bruce and Lee Foundation Library will present local community leadership profiles during this year’s Black History Month. These virtual programs will be presented on the Library’s website and Facebook page and will spotlight three prominent community leaders.

Mayor Teresa Myers Ervin was born and raised in Florence, S.C. She graduated from Florence-Darlington Technical College and Francis Marion University. In 2016 she received an Honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from Francis Marion University. Mayor Ervin serves on numerous boards and committees. She provides health educational services and seminars using the knowledge gained during her 39 years as a registered nurse. She also has 15 years of experience in the ministerial field, and as a realtor.
