The Florence County Library will begin hosting a Dungeons & Dragons experience for teens in grades 9th-12th. This program is designed for those interested in learning the mechanics of the game. The library welcomes players of all backgrounds and experience levels. Teens will be encouraged to build a network with their fellow group members to strategize, think creatively, and problem-solve in a fantasy world setting devised to challenge them. Gameplay is driven by player imagination and choice-making.
Sessions will take place once a month at 5:30 pm on Mondays, with the first session set to start on September 12. The first session, or session zero, will explain the rules and expectations of the program, as well as dive into character creation and basic gameplay guidelines. Each session will last approximately one hour.
Admission is free and the event will be held in the Stukes Meeting Room of the Florence County Library. Dice and assorted materials will be provided. Seating is limited so registration will be required.
