New Morris Gallery Exhibit: “Behind the Clay: A Visual Exploration of the Creative Process” by Tiffany Thomas

The Doctor N. Lee Morris Gallery will be displaying “Behind the Clay: A Visual Exploration of the Creative Process” by Tiffany Thomas beginning in June and running through September 30, 2024. Everyone is invited to the artist reception and exhibit opening on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The reception is free, open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.

Thomas is a multifaceted artist specializing in ceramics and painting, driven by a fascination for the inherent beauty in everyday objects and experiences. After graduating with a degree in Ceramics and Painting from Francis Marion University in 2012, Thomas has built a strong foundation for her artistic practice. In 2018, Thomas’ dedication to her craft culminated in a successful wholesale order through Geocentral. As a testament to her skill and passion, she was invited to speak at the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts in 2022, sharing her knowledge and insights with fellow artists and enthusiasts. Thomas’ artistic process is rooted in the exploration of themes that resonate with her personal life, as she dissects and analyzes these ideas to create meaningful works of art. Her commitment to her monthly collections demonstrates her constant pursuit of creative growth and expression. Through her art, Thomas invites viewers to appreciate the beauty in the world around them and explore the hidden stories behind each piece.
