Jane Jackson is a professional artist living in Florence. Her art depicts the feelings of the southern lifestyle, preserving places and moments in time with a quiet elegance. Working primarily in watercolor, she finds the medium is always an exciting adventure in decision making.

Jackson won the 1992 Piccolo Spoleto Mayor’s Purchase Award for Best in Show at the Outdoor Art Festival in Charleston. She has taught art classes for many organizations, including Francis Marion University, with the South Carolina Arts Commission, for Adult Art Education, and in a private studio. Her art is sought after and has been commissioned by the City of Florence, the Hugh and Jean Leatherman Medical Education Complex, the College of Charleston, and many private individuals. Prints and notecards of Jackson’s work are sold at the South Carolina State Museum, Brookgreen Gardens, Joyce’s Choices in the Charleston City Market, among other places.
